Brian Clyne is a proud member of the Pequis First Nation in Manitoba and has been sharing his culture through the art of dance. Over the past 32 years, Clyne has skillfully mastered the art of Indigenous hoop and traditional dance, which has carried him across the globe to share his culture.
When Clyne was young, his passion for dance grew as he learned more about the art of Indigenous dance from his Uncle Leo (Sweetpea) Starr. With his hoop designs, he started incorporating animal shapes into his dance routines, adding a unique and creative flair to his performances.
“Over the past 32 years I have been dancing, I’ve travelled the world,” said Clyne, “I’ve been to Sweden, Norway, Germany, France, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, and throughout both the US and Canada.”
Now a familiar face in the Folklorama Family, Brian Clyne helps celebrate culture 365 days a year with the Folklorama Ethno-Cultural Arts programs. Dan Brekke Band
Playing a variety of songs from Country, Blues, rock, and original music, you will be sure to have a great time attending a show.
Dan Brekke found his passion for music at a young age being raised by his mom, Kathie Brekke, who is a choir teacher and his dad, Shawn Brekke, who was a band director for many years. He grew up surrounded by music and was always in attendance at his parents shows as they have a band of their own. He started playing instruments at a young age and grew up performing on the stage at Jasper’s Theater in Park Rapids, MN, his family-owned theater. There is where he found his love for the guitar, the fiddle, singing and just sharing his gift of music and his ability to make people laugh with everyone who walked through the doors.
He joined the Johnny Holm band at the age of 19 and enjoyed traveling all across the upper Midwest performing at various bars, fairs, and events. When he turned 21, he made the big move to Nashville. He spent over three years in the music scene in Nashville performing endless hours on Broadway and creating music of his own in his free time. He truly has a gift for song writing.

Wicked Garden at 8:00 pm
Get ready for your favorite grunge hits of the 90s! Wicked Garden started out in 2010 specializing in the five most influential grunge bands of all time, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, and Stone Temple Pilots. After amassing over three hours of set list hits from these five chart topping bands, they rearranged some members and the newly revamped band decided to expand the set list to include several other artists from the 90′s Grunge Era, as well as Grunge influenced artists that are chart topping today, such as Tool, Foo Fighters, Queens of The Stone Age, etc. The goal of today’s Wicked Garden is to appeal to today’s generation of concert goers, as well as fans of the 90′s era, which is certain to grow the fanbase to a level that was unreachable by sticking to the limitations of the original five band plan.
Food Trucks and Beer Gardens will be on site, cornhole tournaments, kids’ activities, and so much more will be offered throughout the day!
